The Wisteria Tree Cabernet Franc Icewine 2016 is a special and rare creation from Canadian winemaker Sue-Ann Staff. This wine is named after the imposing wisteria that was once planted by Sue-Ann's grandmother and still graces her front garden.

In the warm and dry 2016 vintage, Sue-Ann decided to take a risk: she left perfectly ripe Cabernet Franc grapes on the vines well into winter to create an exceptional red ice wine. A bold decision that paid off handsomely.

Tasting notes
A rich aroma of ripe strawberries, wild raspberries, and subtle notes of cedarwood and sweet candy greets you. On the palate, you'll taste a velvety-smooth texture, with layers of vanilla, oak influences, and an abundance of red fruit. The eight months of aging in French oak gives this ice wine a refined, complex depth rarely found in a dessert wine.
