BLUE NUN is one of the oldest wine brands in Germany. It has a long track record of making quality wines, which is why these wines have found their way all over the world. The brand can rightly be called an icon. It all started in 1857 when Hermann Sichel started his wine business in Mainz. In 1921, H. Sichel Söhne was at the cradle of the BLUE NUN brand when it was decided to reward the wine from the excellent vintage of 1921 with a special new label: BLUE NUN. This brand immediately received the appreciation it deserved and was served in the top London star restaurants, among others. In the early thirties, no less than 1000 cases were shipped to the UK, at that time it was exceptional if such a quantity of the same brand were sold. Today, this wine is still very popular internationally.
In 1995, Sichel merged with Langguth and BLUE NUN was born as the company is today. The focus is on making quality wine. This wine is continuously refined using the most modern techniques. Over time, the wine has become a little drier and at the same time the taste has become a little fresher. The passion to continuously improve BLUE NUN wines has ensured that BLUE NUN has been awarded the title “Qualitätswein”. In addition to the fact that BLUE NUN stands for a quality wine, the good things in life are central to BLUE NUN – sharing valuable moments with friends and family, having fun and simply enjoying. It is therefore not without reason that BLUE NUN wines are exported to more than 100 countries worldwide. The refreshing, modern and contemporary approach to winemaking by BLUE NUN are the success factors.
The BLUE NUN quality can be tasted in this Eiswein. It is made from 100% Riesling and is in a class of its own. BLUE NUN Eiswein has a light golden color and is rich in fruit. A delicious Eiswein for festivities and desserts, or on its own.
